Impressive 3rd place in the Kapas-Marang Swimathon

The staff swimmers managed to bring home additional honors to NUS with Jana coming in 3rd in the women category, swimming the > 6.5 km open water course from the island of Kapas to mainland Malaysia in a mere 2 hours.
First place overall was won by the German champion over 25k Benjamin Konschak in a time of 1h28min. Martin managed to swim butterfly throughout the whole distance (not surprisingly, he was the only contestant in the fly category). But the greatest respect of all earned a small group of physically handicapped people that managed to successfully finish the race course within the 4h cutoff time. Most notably, a swimmer without any arms attached to his shoulders swam a 7.5 km drift course in a stunning 3h42min (this is neither a joke nor a typo). Kudos and Congratulations to all 300+ contestants! And thanks to Simon for sharing the above photos with us.
